The Impact of a Senior Analyst, Business Planning at Coupa: We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented, analytically-rigorous Senior Analyst who will be a business planning operations partner to leadership across Value Services (Professional Services, Education, Customer Success, and Support). You will deliver exponential value by defining and building robust financial and operational models that directly shape executive planning decisions, resource allocation strategies, and the operational value strategy across Value Services. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence the operational strategy and provide insight into the financial health of the business. You will partner with leaders across Value Services, Operations, and Finance to support the achievement of our business plan. This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst looking to become a trusted partner in a scaling SaaS environment. \n What You'll Do: Build and maintain end-to-end financial and capacity models (revenue, backlog, headcount, utilization, productivity, coverage) to support executive scenario planning. Partner with Finance on revenue recognition, margin analysis, and planning alignment, serving as the primary analytics partner for quarterly and annual planning cycles. Ensure model accuracy and data integrity through clear documentation of logic, assumptions, and methodologies. Monitor and report on key operational metrics (bookings, backlog, capacity) while developing variance analysis frameworks and conducting ad-hoc deep dives. Identify risks, refine forecasting assumptions, and collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Sales Ops, and Data teams to align on metrics and infrastructure. Own data quality and reporting accuracy, proactively identifying gaps and driving continuous improvements. What You Will Bring to Coupa: Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, business operations or similar analytical role within SaaS, Services, or technology company Model Mastery: Proven expertise in building, maintaining, and explaining complex financial models Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Excel/Sheets (complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling), advanced knowledge of SQL (multi-table joins, CTEs, window functions), and proficient in BI platforms (Tableau/Looker/PowerBI) for data extraction and dashboard design Business Acumen: Deep understanding of Services business metrics (Bookings, Backlog, Revenue) and services economics (capacity, utilization) Communication: Strong ability to communicate quantitative concepts and strategic recommendations clearly and concisely to executive leadership and technical stakeholders \n Coupa complies with relevant laws and regulations regarding equal opportunity and offers a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
