What You’ll Do: The Backbone of Our Business This is a dynamic dual role, providing direct operational support to both the General Manager and Sales Manager. You will manage the administrative side of the sales cycle, ensure customer satisfaction, and handle key accounting functions. Sales Operations & Management Support • Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming phone calls and walk-in customers. • Provide direct administrative assistance, scheduling, and correspondence support to the General and Sales Manager. • Manage invoicing, accounts payable, and financial transaction processing using the company’s accounting system. • Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to track progress toward sales goals and compile vital sales activity reports. • Enter new customer inquiries and manage leads accurately within the CRM system. • Prepare precise sales quotes and review orders to ensure details are complete and ready for production. • Track order progress and provide essential status updates to customers. Customer Engagement & Marketing • Greet customers visiting our headquarters and maintain a welcoming, professional showroom environment. • Assist in preparing and maintaining crucial support materials like thank-you cards and brochures. • Support the execution of exciting marketing initiatives, including weekly email blasts and event campaigns. • Help with setup and staffing for home shows, trade shows, and other retail events. What You’ll Bring to Backyard Unlimited We are looking for a highly organized and self-motivated team player ready to take initiative! • Experience: 1–2 years of sales support, administrative, or customer service experience is preferred. Construction or carpentry knowledge is a strong plus. • Skills: High attention to detail in all data entry, quotes, and order processing. • Aptitude: Strong math skills and computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Working Conditions • Location: Primarily on-site at company headquarters. • Schedule: The shared schedule involves some evening or weekend hours, as we are open six days a week. • Physical: Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the workday.
