Title: Associate Director of Enrollment Communications and Database Management Type: Remote FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Director of Admissions Job Summary Under the general direction of the Vice President for Student Life and Enrollment, this position plays a central role in advancing Cottey College’s recruitment and admissions efforts by articulating the College’s mission, values, and academic offerings to prospective students and families. The role supports the development and implementation of a comprehensive admissions strategy aligned with institutional goals and provides operational and strategic support to the Director of Admissions and the broader admissions team. Through close collaboration with campus partners, this position helps ensure a coordinated, ethical, and student-centered admissions process. This position serves as a primary steward of Cottey College’s customer relationship management system, Slate, overseeing its administration, integration, and strategic use across the enrollment lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing data integrity, communication flows, recruitment platforms, institutional profiles, and reporting to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. The role also leads onboarding and ongoing training to ensure admissions staff use Slate effectively and efficiently, leverages data to assess recruitment and communication outcomes, and supports counselors with territory management, travel planning, and prospect engagement. Through these efforts, the position contributes to a data-informed, mission-driven admissions operation that supports Cottey’s enrollment goals. Duties and Responsibilities · Oversees the administration, integration, and strategic use of Cottey’s CRM (Slate), including database management, data integrity, and the import/export of student information. · Helps to develop and implement a comprehensive admissions strategy aligned with the institution's goals and objectives. · Assists the Director of Admissions with day-to-day management, coordination, and support of the admissions team. · Analyzes admissions and communication data to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and inform continuous improvement. · Evaluates growth strategies and innovation across recruitment platforms and partner software. · Creates, manages, and evaluates print, digital, and e-communications for prospective and incoming students, including oversight of enrollment management web pages and response metrics. · Engages with enterprise-wide technical platforms and web-based services related to all enrollment management areas, including online applications, registration, and payments. · Maintains, updates, and strategically leverages Cottey’s institutional profiles across external recruitment vendors to maximize recruitment effectiveness and brand consistency. · Develops and leads onboarding and ongoing training for admissions staff to ensure effective, efficient, and consistent use of Slate. · Collaborates with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to the admissions process. · Ensures fairness, transparency, and consistency in the admissions process. · Stays current on industry trends and best practices and incorporates them into the admissions process. · Creates departmental forms to assist with the enrollment process. · Manages counselor territory assignments and student distribution in CRM software. · Supports enrollment counselors by providing relevant data to assist in travel planning and recruitment strategy development. · Prepares applications and academic records for review by enrollment counselors. · Prepares reports as needed, under the direction of the vice president for student life and enrollment management, for the Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders requesting statistical information. · Provides coverage for select domestic territories as needed, supporting students through the Cottey admissions process. · Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities · Possesses thorough knowledge of the mission of a private liberal arts and sciences college for women, emphasizing academic excellence, global awareness, and leadership opportunities for women. · Demonstrates proficiency in basic business administration principles and practices, including mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite, online applications, and website content management. · Exhibits the ability to be a team player while also working independently, demonstrates self-direction and motivation, creatively problem-solves, establishes priorities, and effectively manages time and budgets. · Performs other duties as assigned. Credentials and Experience · Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred; preference in business administration, communications, or related field from an accredited college or university. · Experience with Slate is preferred but not required; candidates with strong CRM experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. · Three to four years of progressively responsible experience in admissions. · Three to four years of progressively responsible business experience in an educational, marketing, non-profit, or public service capacity is a plus.
