Essential Function Responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, and review of company and divisional operations. (This position is Hybrid working 2 days a week in the SBH Support Center currently located in Denton Texas and moving to Plano in mid Fall) "At Sally Beauty Holdings, we find beauty in diversity. Primary Duties • Coordinate with external associates on required monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. • Review and understand financial statements and underlying operational activities of each of the operating companies. Provide a reasonable level of assurance of the accuracy of the provided information and be responsive to inquiries from Executive Management. • Assist in preparation of Annual Profit Plan including P&L operating budgets, cash plan, capital budget balance sheet plan, ratio analysis and presentation. • Assist management in analysis and understanding of reported information and its overall operational impact. • Identify opportunities for financial/operational improvements by and among the companies. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university. • 1-3 years in a Financial Planning environment, preferably with a multi location retail operation. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles. • Advanced technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and G/L software, with the ability to build complex working models. VBA a plus. Competencies / Attributes • Ability to interface with various levels of management, along with excellent communication skills. • Ability to prioritize and complete multi tasks with accuracy. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. Working Conditions /Physical Requirements The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
