This entry-level position is responsible for rigorous cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, equipment, and floors. The role ensures all sanitation activities meet USDA and SQF food safety standards. Workers perform a variety of physical tasks, contribute to environmental monitoring, and help maintain overall hygiene and safety throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, and floors using high-pressure hoses and approved chemicals. Comply with USDA and SQF food safety standards during all cleaning and sanitation activities. Monitor environmental conditions, including temperature and cleanliness, to support food safety requirements. Handle waste management tasks, including removal, sorting, and proper disposal of waste materials. Complete required documentation related to cleaning, sanitation, and environmental monitoring. Perform heavy lifting and operate cleaning equipment as needed. Maintain hygiene and safety in cold and wet working conditions. Assist with grounds maintenance, including basic landscaping and upkeep of outdoor areas. Provide valet services as directed, such as moving company vehicles or assisting with deliveries. Support laundry and linen administration, including washing, folding, and distributing uniforms or linens. Work cooperatively with team members to achieve sanitation goals. Follow all safety instructions and procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Typical Requirements Experience: 03 years in facilities, sanitation, or similar roles (no prior experience required). Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in cold/wet environments. Basic sensory skills for identifying cleanliness and safety issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols. Ability to read and complete simple documentation and checklists. Teamwork skills and willingness to support others when needed. Work Environment This position operates in a meat and seafood processing facility with cold, wet, and physically demanding conditions. Workers regularly use high-pressure hoses and chemical cleaning agents. Strict adherence to regulatory standards (USDA/SQF) is required to ensure product safety and facility compliance.
