5+ years experience with vendor/client transaction management, preferably with credit underwriting knowledge and a bachelor's degree.
Our client, a diversified financial services company providing banking and investing services, is seeking a Senior Vendor Client Specialist for a 3+ month contract role with potential for conversion located in Parsippany, NJ. This role is hybrid until the end of the year, when it will transition to fully onsite. PRIMARY CHARACTERISTICS This position works independently, performing a wide range of vendor and customer support, focusing primarily on more complex transactions/relationships and those requiring concierge level service. While the position does not possess booking or funding authority, a key objective is to shepherd transactions up to the point of booking, to meet established service level agreements, especially related to process time. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Transaction management • Be the primary transaction driver, shepherding transactions through the ECF process, coordinating and supporting efforts of Sales, Credit and Operations to ensure maximum efficiency of transaction processing. • Assist on special transactions or projects for assigned vendor programs and other new business transactions as assigned. • Prepares written presentations and apply sound judgment on recommendations to appropriate level of credit authority within defined time frames. • Managing vendor relationships • In partnership with Vendor Services, educate and advise stakeholders on vendor’s characteristics, needs and servicing of those needs. • Meet servicing requirements of assigned vendor partners, responding to transactional in-bound calls. • Participate in the vendor program early and often risk approval review. o Participate in the vendor program review by the process owner team. • Work with Relationship Managers (“RM”), Account Managers (“AM”) and Vendor Services to roll out new vendor products and programs. • Participate in 90-day assessment post program launch for all new vendor programs. • Operational oversight and execution • Follow up with end user customer or vendor for completed contract documents. • Process and review more complicated higher exposure applications, including reviewing applications for completeness and basic requirements. • Work with Sr Account Manager (“SAM”) and/or AM to ensure any unique requests are addressed and approved as part of the credit approval process (e.g., state and local government requirements). • Review third party documents in conjunction with Senior Documentation Specialist to ensure version control. • Work with legal team to outline any changes to standard approved documents. • Mentor and provide guidance to the SAMs and AMs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS • Works independently on complex transactions. • Follows established guidelines, procedures and policies. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE • 5+ years’ experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience • Credit underwriting experience a plus Pay Rate- $35.00hour
