Position Overview: The Bi-lingual Early Out Self Pay Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients while efficiently collecting self-pay balances. This role plays a key part in maintaining a positive patient experience, ensuring accurate account documentation, and supporting the overall revenue cycle process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and strong communication skills in both English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver outstanding customer service and compassionate support to patients. • Accurately document and update account statuses in a timely and organized manner. • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion. • Handle inbound and outbound calls to resolve patient account inquiries and collect payments. • Identify and escalate revenue cycle errors related to registration, billing, coding, or reimbursement; document and coordinate corrections as needed. • Meet and exceed monthly collection and performance goals. • Negotiate and persuade effectively while maintaining a patient-centered approach. • Execute standard operating procedures with consistency and attention to compliance. • Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Competencies: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish. • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. • Sound decision-making and ability to follow established operational processes. • High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information. Education and Experience: • High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred. • Previous experience in healthcare customer service and collections required. • Experience with EPIC or other medical billing systems preferred. • Familiarity with insurance terminology (EOB, OCB, ICD-10 codes, deductibles, etc.) preferred. • Bilingual fluency (Spanish/English) required.
