We are growing! Corona-Temecula Orthopaedic Associates is a busy, fast-paced orthopedic office with multiple locations and providers. The ideal candidate will be able to handle busy phone lines in a professional, effective and succinct manner. The practice has a high HMO clientele, so the HMO referral and authorization process must be understood completely. Job duties: • Schedule patient appointments per insurance protocols necessary to ensure payment • Review, assess and verify patient insurance coverage • Accurately collect demographic & insurance information • Obtain pre-certification and schedule appointments accordingly • Act as backup operator for a busy call center • Cross-train as backup for front desk receptionists Requirements: • Strong understanding and experience with Health Management Organization (HMO) and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) practices. • Demonstrated understanding of referral and authorization processes. • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting • Excellent computer skills • Excellent communication skills • Previous referral coordination experience a plus • Orthopedic experience a plus • Spanish a plus • **This position is in Corona only, please do not apply if full-time work in Corona is not feasible*** Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $21.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Uniform allowance • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
