And so much more.​   ​Come break through with us.  Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors. JOB SUMMARY: Operational execution of key daily tasks associated with shipping and receiving o Ensure incoming deliveries are receipted in properly and put away o Maintain proper raw material replenishment levels in PSAs o Perform system transactions for cables from Final QC o Cut, package & store cables o Load flatbed trucks for customer shipments o Safe forklift operation. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Expected to have full understanding of department and company procedures and policies. • Conduct safety walks within warehouse and throughout plant. • Effectively/professionally convey information internally and externally. • Wear proper PPE at all times in required areas. • Maintain compliance to training record requirements. • Promote Corning in a positive manner and lead by example. • Active good housekeeping and strict adherence to specific safety regulations and practices in day-to-day work. • Prepare necessary paperwork for finished goods cables including processing of cuts. • Effective, timely and accurate execution of outbound shipments with CLS designated carriers with the aim to improve efficiency in the warehouse, reduce transportation costs and meet customer requirements. • Ensure data integrity. • Work interactively with Stakeholders to ensure inventory and shipping accuracy, minimize shipping backlog and meet customers’ requirements. • Aid team members in SAP troubleshooting/training. • Responsible for ensuring charging of forklifts and other battery powered items. • Self-starter in areas of Kaizen & 5S. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Establishment of positive work environment. • Successful accomplishment of projects. • Hazardous conditions or other health and safety concerns should be corrected by him/her whenever this is possible. QUALIFICATIONS: • Customer-focused. • Results oriented. • Good Interpersonal skills (open, engaging, enabling). • Advocate of safety. • Strong team player. • Ability to thrive in a multicultural matrix organization. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Priority Setting. • Service Minded. REQUIRED: • 3-5 years’ work experience in a logistics role. • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes such as warehousing, distribution and inventory management. • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint. • Work experience with ERP business management software / systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle). • Forklift Certification This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is ​$21.50 hourly rate - $26.25 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
