Senior IT Project Manager Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Type: Long Term Contract CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support a large-scale IT initiative within a state agency. This individual will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of a budget planning tool implementation, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope, and under budget. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled communicator, adept at leading cross-functional teams, managing risks, and ensuring alignment between IT and program stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage IT project planning, budgeting, and execution activities. • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. • Develop and oversee detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones. • Track and manage project risks, issues, and change requests. • Ensure project deliverables align with business requirements and technical specifications. • Oversee SDLC processes, guiding teams through requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment. • Monitor and report on project budgets, timelines, and scope adherence. • Provide concise weekly status updates and executive-level reporting. • Conduct regular team meetings and maintain open communication with sponsors and stakeholders. • Drive Agile practices, managing feature-driven sprints and ensuring team progress aligns with project timelines. Required Qualifications • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT project implementations across complex organizations. • Proven ability to develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including risk and issue management. • Strong background in SDLC processes, ensuring business requirements translate into technical solutions. • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels. • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. • Experience leading Agile projects, overseeing sprints, and ensuring delivery timelines are met. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving results in fast-paced environments. • PMP Certification (required). • Experience implementing Agile methodologies within government or public-sector organizations. • Familiarity with project delivery in large-scale, multi-stakeholder environments.
