Senior Business Development Manager -Aerospace Bearings & Engineered Components Note: You must be already located in the South-Central US region to be considered We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead account growth and new business development across a key Southcentral U.S. territory supporting aerospace, defense, rotorcraft, space, and industrial OEM customers. This is a high-visibility, autonomous, field-based role focused on expanding existing customer relationships while identifying new platform and program opportunities. The ideal candidate brings deep experience selling engineered mechanical components into aerospace and military aviation markets, with the ability to engage both technical and executive-level stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Manage and grow a defined sales territory supporting aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, MROs, and defense contractors • Drive new revenue through existing accounts while selectively developing new customer relationships • Identify and develop opportunities involving: Self-lubricating bearings, Metal-polymer bearings, Spherical bearings, Plain bearings, Rod ends, Bushings Support applications across: Fixed-wing aircraft Rotorcraft / helicopters Military aviation Space and launch systems, Aerospace actuation and landing systems • Conduct in-person and virtual technical sales presentations, capability briefings, and commercial reviews • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, applications, inside sales, and manufacturing • Navigate long sales cycles tied to new platforms, qualification programs, and production ramps • Manage territory strategy, account plans, pipeline development, and forecasting using CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent) • Serve as the primary customer interface for commercial, technical, and program-level engagement • Prepare and submit regular activity, pipeline, and opportunity reports • Travel extensively to customer sites and industry meetings Required Background & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years experience in: Aerospace sales, Technical business development, Field sales engineering, Account management supporting aerospace or defense customers • Proven experience selling bearings, motion-control components, precision mechanical products, or engineered systems Travel • 50–70% travel within the assigned territory • Typical schedule: Monday–Thursday travel Compensation & Perks • Highly Competitive (Six-Figure) base salary + incentives • Monthly car allowance (~$1,000/month) • Home office stipend (internet, equipment, remote work support) • 3+ weeks of PTO (flexible based on experience) • Paid company shutdown Holidays • Outstanding Medical, dental, and vision benefits • Long-term growth opportunity within a stable, high-performance aerospace business
