Description The Associate Marriage and Family Therapist will gain hours of experience counseling individuals, couples, and families in a Christ-centered environment. Develop insight, skills, and training under the supervision of two Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. Integrate faith and psychology as well as different therapy modalities and techniques in a dynamic setting. Learn how to establish your own practice upon receiving your professional license. Reports to: Counseling Center Director JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Earn hours toward BBS Licensure as a therapist (AMFT, ASW, APCC) • Face-to-face appointments as well as optional telehealth. • Diagnose and treat couples, families, and children. • Opportunities for leading groups or teaching classes or seminars. Maintain Strict confidentiality and professionalism • Provide clients with limits of confidentiality. • Keep required progress notes. • Maintain confidential clinical files. Meet weekly with Supervisor(s) per licensing requirements • Prepare case summaries and clinical vignettes when asked. • Collaborate for best treatment approaches. • Seek growth opportunities to advance skills and knowledge. Provide therapy services • Conduct clinical status examinations to assess for mental and emotional health needs. • Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for each client. • Be a proactive listener and offer unconditional positive regard for each client. • Contact supervisor with any questions or concerns. • Make reports to protective services whenever there is a question or concern. Requirements • Master's Degree Required • BBS Associate Registration Number • Professional Liability Insurance • May be Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Clinical Social Worker or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. • Have a growing relationship with Jesus • Demonstrate giftedness in empathy, listening, and caring for individuals. • A desire to grow, learn and develop counseling skills. • An appreciation for self-awareness and personal development.
