Position Overview The Clinical Director is a dual-role executive leader responsible for the clinical integrity, spiritual alignment, and operational success of Cornerstone Christian Counseling. This role provides high-level oversight of all clinical operations, ensuring that therapy remains both biblically sound and clinically excellent. As a strategic partner to the CEO, the Clinical Director fosters a healthy, high-performing culture that empowers clinicians to help clients heal, grow, and thrive. The Clinical Director will also maintain a personal client caseload of 13-15 clinical sessions per week. This role is ideal for an experienced clinician-leader who is passionate about leading a counseling practice through evolving industry trends, achieving data-driven outcomes, mentoring others toward excellence, and advancing a culture where both clients and clinicians flourish. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Excellence Lead all clinical operations to ensure mission alignment, clinical excellence, ethical integrity, and strong client outcomes Develop and oversee clinician coaching and development systems, utilizing Cornerstone’s Clinician’s Guide to Clinical Excellence and outcome-based performance data Implement and monitor systems that track therapist performance, clinical outcomes, utilization, documentation compliance, and client retention Collaborate with the CEO, leadership team, and Caseload Management Team to address clinical performance, utilization challenges, and staff development needs Oversee organizational quality including, treatment plans, notes incident management, and all clinical, ethical, and legal concerns Ensure compliance with licensure, continuing education, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices, while responsibly leading the ethical integration of AI and emerging clinical technologies Support and sustain a culture that expresses our Cornerstone values - Second Mile Service, Life to the Full, Authenticity, Biblically sound with Clinical Excellence Team Development & Supervision Provide clinical oversight of the entire clinical team and lead regular clinical meetings to support mission alignment and excellence Mentor and develop clinical supervisors in leadership, coaching, and spiritual and clinical oversight Support licensed clinicians through recognition of high performance and structured performance improvement when needed Oversee supervision for some unlicensed clinicians in compliance with state licensing boards, including bi-weekly individual supervision sessions Conduct annual performance reviews for all clinical staff Clinician Recruitment and Onboarding In collaboration with Cornerstone’s HR Specialist, performs interviews of potential clinical hires, assessing for personality fit as well as experience in the field and clinical excellence. Train all new clinical hires on all aspects of Cornerstone’s clinical expectations Mentor and guide new Cornerstone clinicians, alongside their clinical supervisor, through the initial three month onboarding/ramp up period. Licensed Counselor (13–15 clients/week) Provide individual, family, and couples therapy using evidence-based and experiential approaches (e.g., CBT, EMDR, Brainspotting) Maintain the highest standards of clinical care and documentation What Success Looks Like Success in this role is measured by two primary outcomes: Practice-wide client goal attainment of at least 80% All clinicians consistently meeting Cornerstone’s core performance metrics The Clinical Director translates clinical data into actionable coaching, policies, and systems—fostering growth, accountability, and excellence throughout the team. Qualifications Education & Licensure Master’s Degree or higher in counseling Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) ACS-Approved Supervisor certification or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the mental health field Faith & Mission Alignment Alignment with Cornerstone’s Statement of Faith Strong commitment to integrating biblical principles with clinical excellence Passion for advancing Cornerstone’s mission and vision Skills & Core Competencies Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop clinicians Strong clinical expertise with evidence-based and experiential modalities Excellent judgment in ethical, legal, and quality-of-care matters Strong collaboration and communication skills Strategic thinker with the ability to implement systems and initiatives Exceptional time management and organizational skills Adaptability and openness to new technologies and evolving practices Weekly Schedule/Location Full-time, salaried position (40 hours/week) Clinical Director: ~25 hours/week Licensed Counselor: 13–15 client sessions/week Predictable schedule with availability during normal business hours and occasional crisis response outside standard hours Clinical director work is primarily remote from a home office, which requires a secure, private home office compliant with telehealth standards. Client sessions are held in-person at one of our Colorado office locations. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for the Clinical Director position is $118,000 - 124,000 per year and is commensurate with the candidate’s experience, education, certifications, background and qualifications.
