Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, 5+ years of experience, proficiency in Excel and ERP, manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Staff Accountant supports core accounting functions that enable accurate financial reporting and efficient business operations. This role performs day-to-day accounting activities, supports month-end close processes, and maintains financial data while contributing as a fully ramped individual contributor within a manufacturing environment. The Staff Accountant works closely with senior accounting team members while independently managing assigned responsibilities and ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies. This role offers the opportunity to further develop accounting expertise while contributing as a key member of a dynamic finance team, with an emphasis on ownership, accountability, and consistent performance within a collaborative and supportive environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform and support month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. • Perform general ledger analysis and independently investigate and resolve variances. • Record and reconcile daily cash activity and support month-end cash reconciliations. • Maintain and update accounting schedules, including prepaid expenses, accruals, rebates, fixed assets, and debt-related schedules. • Support intercompany accounting and consolidation processes as assigned. • Perform and support fixed asset accounting activities, including additions, disposals, and basic reporting. • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal reviews, audits, and external reporting. • Enter, review, and validate transactions within the company’s ERP system. • Run standard financial reports and assist with data accuracy and system integrity. • Ensure accounting activities comply with GAAP and internal accounting policies. • Identify and execute process improvement opportunities, including automation and efficiency enhancements. • Perform other accounting duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. • 5 years of accounting experience, including internships or early-career roles. • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). • High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Exposure to ERP systems preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Exposure to cost accounting concepts. • Interest in pursuing CPA or CMA certification. EDUCATION: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline from an accredited university.
