Full Description

Assignment This job posting is for an elementary-aged male in Kendall Park, NJ. This individual is currently authorized for 12 hours. Service hours are typically in the afternoons, between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. No severe behaviors are indicated. A strong behavioral skill set and knowledge of prompt fading and NET procedures are preferred. Additional cases are available, per availability of the RBT and performance. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavior management and support. Responsibilities • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). • Provide direct support to clients in various settings, focusing on teaching daily living skills and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). • Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment decisions. • Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. • Engage in teaching strategies that facilitate learning and skill acquisition for clients. • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of client information. • Document medical records accurately, including care plans and behavioral health assessments. • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support for clients. • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Experience • Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. • Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis is essential. • Experience in special education or patient care settings is a plus. • Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plans is beneficial. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and families. • A commitment to maintaining high standards of ethical practice in accordance with behavioral health guidelines. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week Work Location: In person
