Strong attention to detail, motivation to learn, and a desire to take on a new challenge are key attributes we are seeking. What You Will Do: • Perform monthly end process including but not limited to preparing journal entries, reviewing ledger detail, and maintaining supporting schedules for GAAP-based financial statements • Work and establish positive relationships and maintain frequent communication with community teams • Prepare and review bank reconciliations • Calculate and project monthly cash flow distributions • Assist Senior Property Accountant with ad hoc projects • Interact with and review for accuracy and consistency, work prepared by third party financial preparers • Occasional travel may be necessary as needed • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation Ideally, You'll Have: • Current sophomore or junior in college studying accounting or finance • An understanding of accounting and financial principles • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills • A team player attitude and motivation to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge • Proficient in MS Excel and Word • Anticipated Schedule • Summer 2025 Organizational Structure Reports to: Senior Property Accountant Direct Reports: N/A or Title(s) Disclaimer: Please note that job responsibilities, reporting lines, and duties outlined in this job description are subject to change to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
