Job Summary We are seeking a proactive Senior Project Manager to lead project teams from inception through completion and execute corporate planning initiatives effectively. This is a key role that drives project success through collaboration and innovative solutions. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities • Serve as a senior representative for the Project Management Center of Excellence. • Develop and implement new systems, techniques, and procedures for automated planning, reporting, issue resolution, risk management, and budget tracking. • Provide regular status updates to all project stakeholders and interface with Upper Management. • Review plans and schedules to ensure compliance with the master schedule, addressing scheduling conflicts as they arise. • Facilitate daily, weekly, or monthly meetings to review project status, identify deviations, and address adverse trends. • Evaluate project business cases to ensure accurate costs and internal labor; present approved business cases to the governing body. • Contribute to training and development within the department through instructional opportunities. • Mentor and support team members while fostering development of processes within the project management office. Nature and Scope • Identify key barriers and apply effective problem-solving skills to creatively address complex situations. • Perform assignments with minimal supervision, developing strategic approaches to solutions and seeking technical guidance only for unusual or complex issues. • Oversee project completion, including planning, monitoring progress, and evaluating results. Contribute to team members' professional development, though hiring or firing authority is not included. Work Environment • Most time is spent in a comfortable sitting position, with occasional movement required to lift light articles. • Work takes place in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent unpleasant conditions. • Travel is expected to be less than 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Pre-employment assessments may be required. Education and Experience • Requires a BS/BA in a related discipline, generally 5-8 years of experience, or an MS/MA with 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas. Pay: $73,476.09 - $104,965.84 per year. Core & Main is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
