Join our team and start your journey today! Description Copeland is seeking a strategically minded Internal Communications Specialist focused on Frontline Communications. This role ensures that corporate and global campaigns resonate with colleagues at all levels. The specialist will design channel strategies tailored for office-based as well as frontline colleagues and foster engagement through recognition and culture-building initiatives. As the Internal Communications Specialist, you will focus on: Campaign Localization & Activation Craft and deliver site-relevant versions of broader corporate or global campaigns, ensuring messaging resonates with local teams Translate campaign content into formats and language that connect with employees’ daily work, using storytelling to make messages relatable Coordinate launch moments across shifts and locations to maximize visibility and participation Measure success through campaign awareness, sentiment analysis, and participation rates, leveraging feedback from site leads to refine future efforts Operational Clarity & Safety Messaging Ensure frontline employees receive timely, clear, and actionable updates on safety protocols, production goals, and operational changes Develop communications that are accessible across multiple formats such as visual signage, huddle scripts, and audio messages Partner with operations and EHS teams to maintain accuracy and relevance of safety messaging Monitor effectiveness through safety message recall, incident reduction trends, and supervisor feedback Channel Strategy for Frontline Reach Design and maintain a channel mix tailored to the unique needs of frontline employees, including mobile platforms, printed materials, digital boards, and peer-led briefings Regularly test formats for comprehension and retention, implementing feedback loops to improve clarity and engagement Track channel usage metrics and message reach by shift/team to ensure optimal delivery and accessibility Provide guidance and training to site leaders on best practices for frontline communication Recognition & Culture Building Drive employee engagement by celebrating contributions, milestones, and team wins through storytelling, photo walls, shout-outs, and leader-led appreciation Partner with HR and site leadership to integrate recognition into daily operations and cultural initiatives Measure impact through recognition participation rates, engagement survey scores, and anecdotal feedback from employees Required education, experiences & skills: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3-5 years in global communications or change management roles Strong skills in storytelling, plain language writing, and visual communication Experience with multi-channel strategies for frontline audiences Preferred education, experiences & skills: Familiarity with manufacturing environments and shift-based communication planning Knowledge of employee engagement metrics and campaign measurement Why Work in St. Louis, Missouri Our facility is located in St. Louis, famous for its Gateway Arch standing at 630 feet tall.
