About Conversations to Remember Conversations to Remember is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, working to relieve feelings of loneliness and isolation among senior citizens. We work with seniors across the United States, many living with Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of dementia. We match match college students with senior citizens for curated weekly video visits through a program that is unlike any in the United States (recently named an Alzheimers Innovator by Maude's Awards). Our mission is to create intergenerational relationships, enhancing mental health, while providing seniors with joy and mental stimulation. About the Board Position Conversations to Remember is seeking to grow our board and bring on additional volunteer directors who are dedicated to helping senior citizens. • Responsible for overall strategy, budget, policies, and governance • Board meetings: Quarterly board meetings, plus additional meetings as needed. All meetings are virtual. • Serve as an ambassador for Conversations to Remember, spreading awareness, and inspiring interest among your personal and professional network, cultivating relationships with potential supporters, partners, and donors • Hands on: from time to time, take on roles within the bounds of your agreed upon time commitment. • Time commitment: Estimated 5–10 hours per month. • Position term: 2 years, with the possibility of re-election to consecutive terms • Financial commitment: Board members are expected to support our mission with a minimum contribution of $5,000 annually and by raising a minimum of $5,000 annually (this can include corporate matching). Board members should be willing to get involved in fundraising by using their personal and business connections to raise funds and support fundraising events. • Board responsibilities will always be remote/virtual, and board members can reside anywhere in the United States.
