Company Overview Conversa Corps is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming multi-team crisis response through digital collaboration. Our mission addresses the critical challenge of disconnected communications during disaster response by providing free tools that foster inclusivity and transparency across the global aid community. By empowering these "helpers" to connect, share knowledge, and coordinate efforts, Conversa Corps aims to improve disaster response, enhance global aid efficiency, and build a stronger, more unified humanitarian community. The Aid Arena Hotline, an AI-driven phone service, further extends community support by providing critical information and facilitating communication with the public during crises. Set yourself apart from the crowd, show you are willing to do good with your talents, and include this position on your resume! Role Summary Conversa Corps is hiring a hybrid, matrixed professional who will own people systems on the People team (HRIS administration, data governance, reporting) while also leading Airtable database projects from the Technology team side. The Airtable work is broader than HR — you’ll design and manage bases and projects that are internal and client/member-facing across the organization. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that blends HR domain expertise, systems administration, project management, and no-code database engineering. You’ll split time and priorities between two complementary domains: ensuring the People team’s systems are accurate, compliant, and reliable — and delivering scalable Airtable solutions, integrations, and interfaces for teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities HRIS & People Systems (People team) — primary responsibilities • Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Conversa Corps’ HRIS (Airtable) and other people systems. • Maintain personnel records and data integrity across systems; own lifecycle processes (new role creation, onboard, role changes, offboard - personnel records are accurate of team member’s role and status and ensuring role assignments within Conversa Corps are accurate of what roles are or will be available). • Configure HRIS workflows, permissions, and security aligned with privacy and compliance policies (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, HIPAA where applicable). • Produce regular and ad-hoc people analytics and dashboards to support leadership decision-making (recruiting dashboards, onboarding dashboards, performance dashboards, compensation planning dashboards, succession planning dashboards, career pathing dashboards etc within Airtable). • Create and maintain SOPs, training materials, and documentation for People team systems and processes. • Serve as the People team’s technical partner on integrations, automations, and data quality initiatives within Airtable; escalate cross-team technical issues to Technology. • Support HR projects (performance cycles, benefits administration, compliance audits) requiring system changes or reporting. Airtable Database Project Management (Technology team) — primary responsibilities • Lead end-to-end Airtable projects across Conversa Corps: requirements, information architecture, build, test, rollout, training, and maintenance. • Design scalable base schemas, interfaces, automations, and linked record models that serve internal teams and external/ client-facing workflows. • Manage client/member-facing Airtable solutions: requirements gathering with external stakeholders, SLAs, user onboarding, and support pathways. • Coordinate integrations with other tools (e.g., HRIS, CRM, payment/ops stacks) using API, no-code middleware (Zapier/Make), or developer resources. • Establish and enforce organizational standards for Airtable governance: naming conventions, access controls, backup/versioning, and data hygiene. • Maintain a backlog, roadmaps, and release notes for Airtable projects; run sprint-style or milestone-based delivery depending on project scope. • Train and enable non-technical staff and external users; create reusable templates and self-service documentation. • Triage and resolve production issues, ownership handoffs, and ongoing operational support. Collaboration & governance • Operate in a matrix model: tactical reporting to People for HRIS work and to Technology for Airtable projects; surface conflicts and priorities transparently. • Serve as the bridge between People, Technology, Product, Client Success, and external partners for systems and data projects. • Establish SLAs for project delivery and for operational support tickets related to Airtable/people systems. • Champion security, privacy, and compliance best practices across all projects. KPIs / success measures (examples) • HRIS data accuracy and timeliness (%) and audit pass rate. • Time to onboard/offboard (system completions) and reduction in manual work. • Project delivery (on-time / on-scope) for Airtable initiatives. • Number of reusable Airtable templates & reduction in duplicate bases. • Stakeholder satisfaction scores (People team, internal teams, and clients). • Mean time to resolve production incidents. Skills & qualifications • 4–7+ years combined experience across HRIS administration, people operations systems, and/or no-code database/project delivery. • Demonstrated mastery of Airtable (base design, automations, interfaces, and complex linked-record architectures). • Strong HR systems experience (HRIS configuration, reporting, data governance). • Proven project management experience: requirements gathering, scope definition, roadmaps, stakeholder management, and delivery. • Comfortable with integrations: APIs and no-code tools (Zapier, Make, or similar); experience coordinating with engineers for custom integrations. • Excellent documentation, training, and communication skills; experienced at translating technical concepts for non-technical users. • Strong attention to data privacy, security, and compliance. • Client-facing experience is a plus (requirements gathering, UAT, and onboarding external stakeholders). • Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment, prioritize across competing needs, and collaborate across distributed teams. Personal qualities • Systems thinker who balances technical rigor with practical usability. • Service-oriented and empathetic when working with internal teams and clients. • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, mission-driven organization and handling ambiguity. • Continuous improvement mindset — enjoys building reusable solutions and driving standards. Practical details • Tools you’ll use: Airtable (advanced), HRIS (platform TBD), Google Workspace, Slack, Zapier/Make, basic SQL or scripting familiarity is a plus.
