Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role, along with a degree in Computer Science or a related field. Advanced skills in Azure Platform and Microsoft Fabric data tools are required.
Job Summary: This exciting opportunity is a full-time, permanent role with Pellera Technologies. The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and managing the data infrastructure and pipelines within an organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that data is collected, processed and made available for analysis and decision-making. Duties include identifying clients' internal and external data sources, collaborating with stakeholders to determine data and organizational needs, and using the information to create and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines. Please Note: All candidates must have Microsoft Fabric experience to be considered. Essential Functions: Analyze and organize raw data. Build data systems and pipelines. Evaluate business needs and objectives. Interpret trends and patterns. Conduct complex data analysis and report on results. Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling. Combine raw information from different sources. Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability. Identify opportunities for data acquisition. Develop analytical tools and programs. Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects. Other duties as assigned. Ability to travel periodically. Estimated around 1-2 times per quarter. Education and Experience: Required: 3-5 years’ experience as a data engineer or similar role. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field Data Modeling experience. ETL/ELT Data Integration experience. Database experience and proficiency in writing/analyzing complex SQL queries Advanced Skills and hands-on experience with Azure Platform and Microsoft Fabric data tools including: Azure Data Factory, Gen 2 Data Flows, Synapse, ADLS / OneLake, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Purview, etc. Optional: DataBricks & PySpark experience Snowflake experience Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics and/or Tableau Prior consulting background Experience with Powerapps / Powerautomate ETL/ELT data integration experience with tools such as Matillion, Informatica, AWS Glue, Alteryx. PowerBI Paginated Reports AI Prompt Engineer Work Environment: Remote; Work from home. Travel may be required infrequently (e.g. once a quarter).
