POSITION SUMMARY Plans, organizes, and controls production within the organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, and to standard. POSITION DETAILS • Provide leadership to create a positive and productive work environment • Execute production schedules and manage labor to meet order completion dates • Recognize and solve problems impacting production including staffing, quality, facilities, equipment, and safety • Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action • Develop and maintain production staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees, develop professional growth opportunities for production team • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, management, clients, and other internal departments • Responsible for review of shift production levels and adjusting according to client and organizational demands • Ensure all safety and security procedures are adhered to for assigned shift • Responsible for ensuring that client quality standards are met for all products produced • Monitor operations, evaluate operational efficiencies, and correct problems in a timely basis • Adhere to budget and cost control practices while meeting scheduled production expectations • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of production • Develop and maintain key performance standards and conduct timely performance evaluations • Monitor training and development of production supervisors to ensure their ability to perform effectively and improve their management skills • Ensure that disciplinary procedures are handled in a consistent manner according to company policies SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • This position oversees the Production, Shipping and Receiving, and Inventory staff, supervisors, and managers DEPARTMENTS RESPONSIBLE FOR • Production • Shipping and Receiving • Inventory • Expected to be on the floor 8 hours a day to accurately monitor the floor and ensure team stays on track. • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment • Must be proficient with the Warehouse Management System/RF/Barcode/Scanning Equipment • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment • Excellent interpersonal communication skills required • Experience with ISO Certification a plus • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate directly with the customer.
