Associate Operations Manager Location: Farmington Hills, MI As an Associate Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of exterior projects, working closely with clients, operations, and your team. You’ll manage project planning, scheduling, budgets, and staff, ensuring that every job is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee production and completion of site work within deadline constraints. Ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and contract requirements. Investigate work related complaints in order to verify problems and to determine responses and corrective action if necessary. Continuously look for ways to improve and promote quality and apply means/methods to improve performance and quality. Keep up to date on technology and available resources. Provide recommended changes to increase efficiency and/or quality of work. Provide oversight in areas such as proper operation and training of equipment, horticultural practices, landscape design, and flower design. Contract management and oversight of subcontractors for contract compliance, quality workmanship in adherence to specifications. Take charge in emergency and extraordinary situations. Put eyes on each site under your supervisor every two weeks. Spray crack/curb weeds & beds during normal visits. Hand detail sites during normal visits as needed. Compliment and reinforce the Corporate strategic goals; specifically having proud, highly satisfied and committed employees and team members Job Requirements: High school graduate (Optional) 4 years of college degree, or a minimum of 2 years in specialized training. Minimum of 5 years experience in the green industry management related to large commercial / corporate facilities ground operations and maintenance, with progressive supervisory experience. A minimum of 5 years in the commercial snow removal industry. Fair knowledge and understanding of horticultural practices/services, plant/pest identification, industry related equipment, and landscape architecture. Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and related software. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. Ability to interact with co-workers, staff, tenants, contractors, and the public in a professional and positive manner. Ability to effectively multi-task and directly manage projects while meeting time constraints. Ability to investigate and analyze information and solve problems in a timely manner. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in hazardous environments, such as construction sites, and work in all types of weather. Must possess current Michigan driver’s license and maintain satisfactory driving record. Must have or acquire at least a Chauffeur License before hire date. Must have or acquire a commercial pesticide applicator license with 3a, 3b, & 6 endorsements. Must submit to, and successfully pass, background checks: including drug, credit and criminal history. Will be required to sign a confidentiality and non-competition agreement. Be available to work 24/7 with the ability to respond quickly and with a sense of urgency.
