MID-LEVEL MERN STACK DEVELOPER 6+ Month Contract (Likely Extension) 100% Remote (EST hours preferred) SUMMARY We are seeking a Mid-Level MERN Stack Developer with practical experience building applications using MongoDB, Express, React, and NodeJS. This role supports customer experience and internal applications, working on both front-end features in React and backend API development in NodeJS. Candidates should be comfortable delivering full-stack functionality, collaborating in an Agile environment, and contributing to modern JavaScript/TypeScript-based solutions. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Develop front-end components and features using ReactJS. Implement NodeJS/Express APIs and backend logic. Work with MongoDB collections, queries, schema updates, and indexing. Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and technical discussions. Write unit and integration tests for both front-end and backend code. Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture and design decisions. Help troubleshoot and resolve bugs across the application stack. Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and CI/CD procedures. REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE 3+ years working with the MERN stack. Strong ReactJS skills with modern JavaScript and functional component patterns. Experience building backend services using NodeJS and Express. Experience with MongoDB queries, updates, and data modeling. Familiarity with REST API design and integration. Experience with Git, branching, and pull request workflows. Exposure to TypeScript is helpful but not required. Good communication skills and ability to work within an Agile team. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or Docker. Experience working with design systems or UI component libraries. Understanding of accessibility, responsive design, or performance tuning.
