What Your Day Will Look Like: As a graduate engineering inspector, you'll inspect various facets of work on the construction site, take field measurements, perform calculations, and prepare relevant inspection reports. You'll verify the use of appropriate materials and construction processes, ensuring that construction adheres to project plans, specifications, and special provisions. The graduate engineering inspector reports to the project manager. What You'll Do: • Assist with various design-related tasks, analyses, and field duties for transportation infrastructure projects. • Support the development of construction plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, bid contract documents, various calculations, quantity takeoffs, and material testing coordination under the direction of licensed civil engineers. • Maintain relationships with client partners and contractors to ensure construction activities adhere to the schedule and fulfill contractual obligations. • Aid in organizing tasks and responsibilities for field inspection personnel. • Participate in the examination and assessment of change order logs, requests for information, and cost proposals. What You'll Need: • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD software. • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD software.
