Mandatory Video Screening All submitted candidates must complete a 10-minute video screening with the hiring team on the same day of submission. Business Analyst SaaS/COTS & Mainframe Migration Location: 100% Remote (Anywhere in the Texas) Client: State of Texas Experience: 12+ Years Minimum MUST Mainframe Migration/Transformation Experience REQUIRED (Must be Recent) Oil & Gas Domain: Not Mandatory Immediate Onboarding Required This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, excellent functional analysis capabilities, and demonstrated experience leading complex migration initiatives. Candidates without recent hands-on experience in Mainframe Transformation or Migration WILL NOT be considered. Key Responsibilities Perform senior-level business analysis for complex modernization and migration projects. Lead requirements gathering, documentation, process analysis, and system workflow creation. Support SaaS/COTS implementations and mainframe data migration initiatives. Participate in the development of user acceptance testing, training, and deployment activities. Conduct root cause analysis and provide production support recommendations. Create detailed design documents, business process diagrams, and functional specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical staff, and business stakeholders. Ensure all deliverables follow RRC standards, methodologies, and quality expectations. Work independently with significant latitude and initiative. May supervise or guide other team members. Required Skills & Experience (Minimum): 12+ years of Business Analysis experience Strong experience in Mainframe Environments (COBOL, SQL) Mainframe Transformation / Migration experience MUST Experience with SaaS/COTS solutions Strong Communication & Functional Skillset Hands-on experience with: Requirements elicitation Use cases, data modeling, prototyping Business process documentation Root cause analysis User acceptance testing support Tools & Technologies: Azure DevOps Visio Data Warehouse / Data Lake SSIS, ETL Snowflake MS Office Suite Prototyping tools (Axure, Adobe Illustrator, SnagIt, etc.) Experience with RBDMS (Risk Based Data Management System) COTS product Proven ability to design/implement process improvement strategies Ability to resolve conflicts and work in complex, multi-team environments Bachelor s Degree (CS, Business, or related field) or equivalent experience CCBA/CBAP or equivalent certification Additional Notes Oil & Gas domain experience NOT required Strong preference for candidates with SaaS/COTS + Migration combination experience Immediate onboarding is mandatory
