Full Description

We are seeking a Jr. Privacy Analyst with demonstrated experience in Privacy Act compliance and System of Records Notices (SORNs) to join our team. The successful candidate will support a federal client's privacy program by assisting with the development, review, and maintenance of SORNs, as well as broader privacy compliance and governance activities. This position requires knowledge of federal privacy laws, policies, and procedures, along with the ability to interface effectively with senior privacy officials and program stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Assist in drafting, updating, and maintaining SORNs in compliance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and OMB Circular A-108. • Support the review and coordination of Routine Uses, data collections, and information sharing agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and federal standards. • Develop privacy documentation, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTAs), and risk assessments, ensuring consistency across privacy deliverables. • Conduct regulatory crosswalks between SORNs, PIAs, Agreements and agency policies to identify overlaps, gaps, or risks. • Provide support to the Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SAOP) and other privacy leadership on issues requiring interpretation of policy or federal guidance. • Contribute to the development of privacy training materials, governance documentation, and internal procedures to advance compliance with HHS and CMS privacy requirements. • Review and draft responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act of 1974 exemptions. • Participate in continuous monitoring and auditing of privacy practices, with emphasis on SORN compliance and alignment with data governance frameworks. Basic Qualifications • At least 1 year of privacy experience • At least 1 year of experience supporting federal clients and navigating agency clearance processes • At least 1 year of experience with collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira, SharePoint, or similar platforms • Knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974, OMB Circular A-108, and related HHS/CMS policies • Knowledge of federal privacy frameworks (e.g., NIST Privacy Framework, Fair Information Practice Principles) Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Information Systems, Law, or a related field. • 1+ years of experience with SORN development, maintenance, and compliance • Prior work experience within CMS, HHS, or other federal agencies with direct involvement in SORNs, PIAs, or Privacy Act compliance. • Privacy or security certifications such as CIPP/G (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Government) or CISSP.
