MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF RECENT EXPERIENCE IN MATERIAL HANDLING AND/OR LOGISTICS Connect Staffing, Inc. is seeking a detailed and dedicated Material Handler at a generator and air compressor manufacturing company in the city of Cypress, CA. Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am-3:45 pm. Must be available for overtime and Saturdays. Requirements of a Material Handler: • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in material handling or logistics • Must have sit-down forklift experience • Must speak English or be Bilingual • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods • Must be able to pass E-Verify, Background Check and Drug Screen • Must have excellent verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to track and log inventory • Prior experience in roles such as Warehouse Specialist, Logistics Coordinator, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, and Inventory Control associate is a plus! Benefits of a Material Handler: • Affordable Health and Dental Plans • Cal-Savers Benefits • Referral program Responsibilities of a Material Handler: • Receiving Materials: Accept incoming shipments of materials, verify accuracy against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and once received conduct put-away in the designated location. • Kitting Operations: Pick and assemble materials and components into kits per kitting lists, and bills of materials (BOMs). Ensure that all kits are complete, accurate, and meet quality standards before distribution to production or other departments. • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately enter inventory transactions, kit assemblies, and material movements into inventory management software (such as Business Central or RF systems). Maintain thorough and organized records. • Material Movement: Safely move materials, supplies, and kits between storage, production, shipping, and receiving areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks). Ensure all calls are actioned on the floor as called. • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures. Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to regulatory requirements regarding hazardous materials if applicable. • Perform additional duties assigned by Plant management to support the overall goals and objectives of the Inventory Department.
