Keys to an interview: Controller | Private Equity backed Manufacturer • 5+ years' Manufacturing Accounting experience • M&A, acquisition accounting, business combination, opening balance sheet experience • Experience leading portions of system implementations • CPA preferred Perks • New office with flexible schedule (3-4 days in, flexible on which ones) • Future equity • Occasional travel Key responsibilities: Controller | Private Equity backed Manufacturer • Lead and oversee the monthly close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting across the organization. • Manage and develop the accounting team, including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. • Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to support a scalable, well-governed organization. • Partner with operations and manufacturing leadership to deliver clear, actionable reporting on labor, overhead, production variances, and plant performance. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing ongoing analysis and reporting against budget and operational targets. • Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance, serving as the primary financial liaison for auditors and external advisors. • Oversee cash management, banking relationships, insurance programs, and liquidity optimization initiatives. • Act as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership, providing insight on contracts, strategic initiatives, and key business decisions.
