The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, management, and vision in operational controls, administrative and reporting requirements, P/L, compliance, growth, and operating efficiency. This role involves providing technical, professional, and analytical support services to the DoD, with a focus on developing and executing a business plan that ensures 10% annual growth. The VP will also be tasked with managing multiple prime contracts, developing a strong customer pipeline, and leading a team to meet and exceed performance targets. A key initiative is to transition the business unit towards research and development contracts and to build a team capable of winning contracts in this domain. Applicants must have a minimum of 25 years' experience, including 10 years in PM roles managing technical service portfolios, and a proven track record of managing large teams and subcontractors. A background in military service is a plus. The role requires a candidate with a BS or MS, and a Ph.D. is preferred, as well as experience in aviation, missile, and space programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong network and experience with DoD customers, particularly in the Huntsville, AL area. The VP will be expected to proactively develop business, diversify the customer base, and maintain a balanced revenue mix. The position demands a leader with a strong technical background, excellent management skills, and the ability to drive the business towards its growth and diversification goals.
