About the Opportunity We are a growing industrial manufacturing organization dedicated to protecting people, property, and the environment through high-performance safety solutions. As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to strengthen our global sourcing strategy and drive measurable cost, quality, and risk improvements across our supply base. Position Overview The Strategic Sourcing Manager will monitor global manufacturing trends to identify optimal production regions and supplier partners. This role is responsible for securing competitive production capabilities that deliver the lowest total landed cost into warehouse locations while maintaining quality, reliability, and compliance standards. This individual will serve as a key liaison between domestic operations and international manufacturing partners. Key Responsibilities • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive advantage. • Lead and manage the RFP/RFQ process. • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure cost, quality, inventory, and supply chain requirements are met. • Track and enforce supplier compliance with contractual expectations. • Identify opportunities to consolidate purchasing and leverage volume for cost reductions. • Ensure purchasing activities comply with applicable regulations and internal policies. • Support global supply chain initiatives by identifying, developing, and qualifying new suppliers. • Develop and maintain a strategic supplier matrix to identify risk, gaps, and opportunities. • Partner with business leaders to align sourcing strategies with product category plans. • Collaborate with suppliers to drive cost reduction initiatives. • Monitor commodity trends and tariffs to proactively manage financial impact. • Implement risk management practices to mitigate supply interruptions and unforeseen disruptions. • Support operations and product development in evaluating buy/make/partner strategies. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to maintain a quarterly supplier scorecard system. • Establish sustainable sourcing processes for strategic initiatives and commodity management. • Partner with Legal to ensure contracts protect business interests. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred). • Minimum of 5 years of strategic sourcing experience. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and material specifications. • Experience working in small to mid-sized manufacturing environments preferred. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret statistical data. • Demonstrated experience in cost reduction and value generation initiatives. Compensation This position offers a competitive base salary range of $120,000 – $135,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include eligibility for an annual performance-based incentive plan.
