The role involves handling workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and providing policy guidance to ensure compliance and fairness across the organization. Responsibilities • Serve as the main contact for employee relations matters, including complaints, conflicts, and policy questions. • Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints such as harassment, discrimination, or policy violations. • Provide guidance to managers and employees on the interpretation and application of company policies and employment laws. • Document employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes in line with legal and internal requirements. • Support performance management processes, including coaching, corrective action, and separations. • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation discussions between employees or between employees and management. • Identify workplace trends and recommend enhancements to policies or practices. • Maintain and update the Employee Handbook in collaboration with Legal and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Collaborate with HR Operations on background check reviews and other employee lifecycle processes. • Develop and deliver training sessions on employee relations topics such as workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and compliance. • Work closely with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to support overall organizational initiatives. Skills • 5+ years of progressive experience in employee relations within a large or matrixed organization. • Demonstrated experience managing complex investigations and working closely with Legal on cases with potential litigation exposure. • Strong working knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, etc.). • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism. • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills. • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
