Our client is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator I (Logistics Specialist) to support project and operational activities by coordinating the safe, efficient, and timely movement of materials and equipment. This role works closely with suppliers, carriers, QA/QC teams, and project personnel to ensure shipments meet schedule, documentation, and quality requirements. Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance Contract Duration: 6 months | W2 Requirements: • Support material readiness, staging, and laydown yard coordination. • Maintain shipment logs, verify packing slip accuracy, and confirm deliveries. • Track shipments, identify delays, and provide timely updates to project teams. • Coordinate transportation for materials, fabricated equipment, and project components. • Issue Release‑to‑Ship documentation and confirm supplier readiness prior to pickup. • Communicate shipping instructions and required documentation to suppliers and carriers. • Maintain and upload logistics documentation in Aconex (drawings, ITPs, WPS, inspection reports, etc.) • Update shipment status and details in the Transportation Management System (TMS) Qualifications/Must-Haves: • Strong communication, follow‑up, and organizational skills. • Experience updating and tracking shipments in a TMS platform. • Working knowledge of freight scheduling and trucking operations. • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination. • Proficiency with digital workflow tools: Excel (required), Aconex and Oracle (preferred) • All education levels considered; equivalent experience in logistics or supply chain coordination accepted. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of DOT and/or HAZMAT regulations. • Experience supporting QA/QC inspection workflows. • Background in energy, pipeline, fabrication, or industrial project logistics.
