Job Role: Mechanical Designer Location: Vadnais Heights, MN Max Pay Range: $40.00 #GRPB Job Description We’re seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for building the backbone of heavy and mobile equipment. You’ll lead the design and development of robust mechanical systems for high-impact machinery—from cranes and bulldozers to trenchers and tractors. Your work will shape the future of industrial mobility and infrastructure. Core Responsibilities • Design and develop mechanical systems for heavy-duty and mobile equipment • Create and interpret complex assembly layouts and technical drawings • Engineer weldments and structural components for durability and performance • Apply GD&T principles to ensure precision and manufacturability • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams • Operate independently in a design center environment with minimal oversight What You Bring • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems design • Proven expertise in designing for heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, skid steers, combines, etc.) • Strong command of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards • Ability to work with large assemblies and structural weldments • Professional demeanor with excellent communication and customer-facing skills • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple design projects Job Type: Contract Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
