Corporate Counsel, Governance Pioneering diabetes treatment provider Hospital & Health Care Diabetes Health Care Medical Personal Health healthcare diabetes corporate wellness health tech digital health and metabolic health The Company is seeking a Corporate Counsel with a focus on Governance to join their mission of transforming care for type 2 diabetes and obesity. The successful candidate will be a strategic advisor, managing corporate governance matters, SEC compliance, and healthcare regulatory issues. This role requires a licensed attorney with at least 5 years of experience, including a background in law firm, startup, and public company roles within the healthcare industry. The Corporate Counsel will work closely with the Executive Team and Board of Directors, oversee policies for compliance, and provide legal guidance on a range of matters, from insider trading to the development of digital health platforms. Applicants must be adept at problem-solving, have a strong understanding of corporate security and public company reporting requirements, and be well-versed in healthcare regulations, particularly those related to corporate practice of medicine, telemedicine, and fraud and abuse. The role demands an individual with exceptional communication, project management, and interpersonal skills, who is practical, business-oriented, and values-driven.
