We are an AMC Institute accredited company with offices located in Atlanta and Washington D.C. who has experienced significant growth in the past several years within the full-service association client industry. We manage several national associations who represent owners for multiple reputable, national brands. From our D.C. office, we provide our clients updates on legislative issues that impact them national and state levels to assist them in combating anti-business legislation. We also create and manage Government Relations Committees and conferences for our association clients and provide them with voter resources and tools to assist them in contacting members of Congress. Role Description This is a remote, part-time position for a Government Relations Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented government relations professional. The role involves monitoring federal legislation affecting small business owners and those in the association member industry and providing them with regular updates, managing federal PAC and making recommendations to the committee regarding PAC distributions, setting up meetings with representatives for annual in-person meetings, building relationships with federal associations and organizations representing similar industry groups, developing ideas for PAC fundraising, and identifying coalitions for specific issues affecting association members and recommend those the association should support. Collaboration with internal teams to ensure compliance and alignment with strategic goals is a key part of this role. The position would work 20-25 hours per week. This position may work remotely, but must be within drivable/commutable distance to Washington D.C. Qualifications • Proven experience in Government Relations and Governmental Affairs • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate policies and their impact • Effective Communication skills for presenting information and representing the organization • Knowledge of Legislative Relations, including liaising with government bodies • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and work independently in a remote setting • Understanding of public policy and legal frameworks relevant to the organization • Educational background in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week Education: • Bachelor's (Required) Ability to Commute: • Washington, DC (Required) Work Location: Remote
