Overview We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Prior dental office experience are highly valued to ensure seamless patient interactions and office operations. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining accurate dental records, scheduling appointments, and supporting the overall clinic workflow. Duties • Greet patients warmly and professionally at the front desk, ensuring excellent patient service. • Schedule appointments using Open Dental • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, • Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Collect payments and perform medical collections as needed; process payments via multiple payment systems. • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and care plan documentation review. • Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing information or directing calls appropriately • Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up on unpaid claims or denials. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards by safeguarding patient information during all administrative processes. • Perform other clerical duties related to front desk operations, including faxing, photocopying, and managing office supplies. Qualifications • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and familiarity with health information management systems. • Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and bilingual abilities are advantageous. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation review processes required to ensure compliance and confidentiality. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and medical records management effectively.
