Construction Administrator Location: Charlotte, NC Full-Time | 5+ Years of Experience We’re looking for an experienced Construction Administrator with sharp problem-solving skills, strong technical instincts, and a team-first mindset. In this role, you’ll work closely with a collaborative design team and act as a critical liaison between designers, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the construction process. What You’ll Do • Lead the construction administration process from pre-construction through close-out • Review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and assist with drawing revisions • Coordinate with engineering consultants and internal design teams • Observe construction progress, perform site visits, and prepare field reports • Evaluate construction budgets and progress for alignment with expectations • Process applications for payment and maintain Submittal and RFI logs • Participate in quality control reviews and mentor junior staff • Lead group jobsite visits and foster team-oriented communication between field and office What We’re Looking For • 5+ years of experience in a Construction Administration role within an architecture firm • Deep familiarity with all phases of a project’s life cycle • Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, or student housing projects is strongly preferred • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities • A collaborative, upbeat attitude and a sense of humor are a must • Willingness to travel 20–30% for jobsite visits across multiple project locations This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Construction Administrator looking to contribute to high-density, urban infill projects while working with a creative and high-performing team.
