Democratic Senator is seeking a full-time, in-person Communications Assistant to join a fast-paced communications operation in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities for this role include compiling daily news clips, maintaining press contact lists, and helping oversee the press internship program, as well as drafting traditional (releases, media advisories, etc.) and digital (social media posts and videos, metrics tracking, etc.) materials. Candidates who write well, think creatively, work well on a team, and have impeccable attention to detail and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Spanish language and video editing skills are a plus.
