Position SummaryThe Associate Implementation Consultant is an entry-level implementation position. In this developing/learning capacity, the consultant will learn proprietary software products and implementation approach and eventually be responsible for knowledge transfer directly to clients so they can use the company's software solutions effectively in a production environment. The knowledge transfer to client can be on-site, or via webinar. Initially, the consultant ‘shadows’ more experienced Implementation Consultants at client’s sites in order to learn the job. \t\t\t Principal Duties \t\t\tLearn software products with the goal of beginning to provide professional services such as consultation, software readiness, and education to clients on proprietary software products. \t\t\t\tAssist with designing and conducting knowledge transfer sessions on site or through webinars. \t\t\t\tEducate users on fundamental software functionality essential to the solution as well as on data entry, system administration, user security, and user permissions. \t\t\t\tPerform consultation/analysis of basic complexity of client business model to identify and document client requirements regarding Tyler products and functionality. \t\t\t\tPlay an active role in troubleshooting client issues of basic complexity. Work with the Support or Development departments to resolve issues of basic complexity. \t\t\t\tKeep up to date on administrative tasks such as documenting client issues, communicating agendas, submitting trip reports, timesheets and weekly expense reports, and updating systems-related client activity. \t\t\t\tMay assist QA staff with product testing or modification testing as required. \t\t\t\tNotify more experienced staff, management and/or appropriate organization/department of issues or unplanned events that could impact the effectiveness/schedule/budget of the implementation. \t\t\t\tCreate both client-facing and internal documentation such as "quick tips" and "how to's". \t\t\t\tAct as liaison between the client and company’s technical staff including conveying technical information of basic complexity so that non-technical individuals can understand. \t\t\t\tMay participate in the annual Users Conference to facilitate user group discussion on assigned module/topic. \t\t\t \t\t\tTravels to client sites. \t\t\t\tPerform other duties as assigned. \t\t\t \t\t\tScope and Impact (Accountability)The Associate Implementation Consultant position is an entry-level role which initially generates minimal revenue with the goal of becoming a full time, revenue-generating position. The position works under close to moderate supervision with little latitude for independent judgment and authority. With this said, the Associate Implementation Consultant works within their knowledge, ability and experience to help the client make decisions. Incumbents in this position are accountable for identifying and resolving issues of basic complexity, partnering with more experienced staff to resolve most issues, and capturing the client’s specific software/business specifications, configuration and other needs. The quality of the implementation can directly affect the volume of work and the project’s profitability. He or she adheres to project assignments to successfully transition the client to Tyler software.\t\t\t ComplexityThe Associate Implementation Consultant must be able to: \t\t\tExpeditiously learn, understand, and demonstrate such knowledge of Propriety software applications by following the implementation methodology approach. \t\t\t\tDemonstrate ability to understand business processes and apply these to the product. \t\t\t\tDemonstrate excellent people skills and ability to build client relationships. \t\t\t\tMaintain a courteous, professional, and confident demeanor throughout the implementation process. \t\t\t\tWork with a diverse group of people, and adapt to and work in a dynamic environment. \t\t\t\tExercise good judgment, discretion, and tact while working with clients. \t\t\t\tMaintain the ability to perform the functions of the application on different data platforms. \t\t\t \t\t\tManage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. \t\t\t\tComplete tasks with general direction. \t\t\t\tDemonstrate growing knowledge of implementation processes, problem management tools and procedures. \t\t\t\tDemonstrate excellent partnering, communicating, and negotiating skills in order to gather client requirements and communicate effectively with the Project Managers, Development, DBA’s and Support staff. \t\t\t\tMaintain composure under pressure. \t\t\t\tWork effectively in a fast paced, team based, customer service oriented environment. \t\t\t\tRecognize and react appropriately to the complexity and criticality of incidents related to the implementation business function. \t\t\t \t\t\tEducation, Experience and Special Skills \t\t\tBachelor’s degree, or comparable work experience. \t\t\t\tKnowledge of principles and concepts in the discipline for which the knowledge transfer will be based is desired. \t\t\t\tExceptional presentation and knowledge transfer skills. \t\t\t\tExcellent interpersonal and communication skills. \t\t\t\tFamiliarity and ease with computer systems and Microsoft Office products. \t\t\t\tStrong problem solving and analytical skills. \t\t\t\tAbility to travel. \t\t\t\tValid driver’s license. \t\t\t\tState Government experience a plus \t\t\t \t\t\t EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
