Provide coordination and administrative support for development projects including land acquisition, permitting, compliance, and stakeholder communication in a remote work environment with up to 50% travel.
Requires education or background in engineering, land use, or energy development, experience with contracts, budgets, schedules, interfacing with public agencies, CEQA/NEPA knowledge, and proficiency with MS Project or Oracle Primavera.
Purpose: Provide coordination and administrative support services to the Development Team. Act as project management liaison and provide direct support for development activity related to commercial and utility-scale PV solar projects and battery storage projects. It's a remote work environment. You can work from home. However, travel is required up to 50% of the time. Support the full project development lifecycle including project siting, due diligence, permitting, and compliance handover · Manage land acquisition and divestment activities including: landowner relationships, land purchase obligations, land contract administration, ALTA survey coordination with Title Company and Land Surveyor · Communicating and collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Development, Finance, Legal, Executive Management and Operations to ensure all projects obtain the necessary approvals and all parties are aware of commitments · Proactively work with local officials, state, and federal agencies, non-profits, tribes, and local communities- presenting our project progress and goals while understand potential project impacts and crafting mitigation approaches in consultation with Development team members · Work closely with the Development team to evaluate, select, and manage consultants to perform field surveys, prepare technical analyses and reports, and permitting documentation · Preparing documentation for handover to EPC and Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition facilitated by a compliance tracking system and compliance management approach · Ensure project feasibility through siting analysis, tracking budgets, and maintaining schedule of deliverables Knowledge and Skill Requirements: • Engineering, Land Use and Development, and Energy Development education and background, or related • Have created, reviewed, and participated in management of contracts, schedules, budgets • Strong background in interfacing with public agencies on development and entitlement issues • Thorough understanding and practical experience with CEQA and NEPA or equivalent • Have proficiency with MS Project or Oracle Primavera • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) · Renewable company experience preferred • Bilingual Spanish speaker a plus Educational Background: • Minimum BA/BS degree preferred - Engineering, Land Use Planning, or related preferred • Any courses in PV will be considered a plus We're an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
