Growing Transportation and Logistics company has an opening for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager, with Last/Final Mile home delivery expertise. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in operations and logistics and proven management, dispatch, and customer service skills, preferably in the Last and Final Mile segment. This position supports all site operations including staffing, driver recruitment, KPIs, client relationships, and safety measures. Clients: a mid priced regional furniture showroom company Schedule: Tue - Sat / Start time 5am / 5 Days Warehouse / Cross Dock Location: St. Louis, MO Industry: Transportation/ Furniture White Glove Delivery / 3PL Job functions include: • Helping manage morning load outs and returns process. • Dispatching and scheduling of daily routes and deliveries. • Supporting client expectations for all delivery services. • Ensuring safe and efficient operations. • Carrying out supervisory duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. • Ability to excel in fast-paced work environment. • Supporting workforce needs and recruitment of Independent Contractors. • Assisting the client and customer service in investigations and resolutions to customer issues. • Promoting safety in the workplace by conducting safety audits and safety meetings. • Supporting quality and service initiatives.
