About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and highly skilled RN to provide private home health services for a total care patient with rehab experience particularly with brain injury. This role requires clinical excellence, active bedside care and a deep commitment to patient centered care. You will deliver high-quality, customized nursing to the patient in a long term critical care rehabilitation environment set up in a private home. We are looking for a nurse that values individualized care, approaches each shift with empathy and who is reliable, attentive and proactive in the delivery of care. Key Responsibilities: • critical care and brain injury rehabilitation • tracheal and oral suctioning • changing tracheostomy and feeding tubes • assistance with all activities of daily living, including bowel program, bladder scanning and catheters • transfers of all types including with a hoyer lift and lateral, physical strength for repositioning the patient with proper alignment and support in a chair or bed • respiratory therapies • wound care and management • coordinate with physicians, therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care • administer medications and treatments, maintain records of patient status, medications and interventions Requirements: • current RN license valid in the state of Texas with no infractions • 7+ years of ICU, Pediatric ICU and/or TIRR experience • experience in working with patients who have tracheostomies and G-tubes, including knowledge of care protocols, suctioning techniques and managing complications • prioritize patient dignity, safety and comfort at all times • excellent communication, patience and interpersonal skills • ability to commute to private home in 77024 area of Houston and available for 12 hours shifts (7am-7pm), weekends and holidays as required Job Type: Permanent Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Work Location: In person
