Extensive experience in healthcare IT project management and technical leadership but no direct IAM or SailPoint experience.
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced SailPoint Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) initiatives using SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for driving IAM transformation programs that support regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), protect patient data, and enhance operational efficiency across clinical and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, deep understanding of IAM principles, and experience navigating the unique regulatory, clinical, and operational complexities of healthcare organizations. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery • Lead end-to-end SailPoint implementation projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and post-go-live support. • Manage cross-functional teams including IAM engineers, security architects, clinical application owners, compliance officers, and third-party vendors. • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, issue trackers, and status reporting. • Ensure alignment with enterprise cybersecurity strategy and digital transformation initiatives. Healthcare Systems Integration • Oversee integration of SailPoint with: • Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) • Active Directory / Azure AD • HR systems (e.g., Workday) • Clinical and revenue cycle applications • Coordinate role-based access control (RBAC) design for clinical and non-clinical users. • Support provisioning, deprovisioning, and automated access certification processes. Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure IAM controls align with: • HIPAA Security Rule requirements • HITECH Act mandates • Internal audit and risk management standards • Partner with compliance and audit teams to support access reviews and regulatory audits. • Mitigate segregation-of-duties (SoD) conflicts and enforce least-privilege access. Stakeholder Communication • Act as the primary liaison between IT, Security, Compliance, and Clinical leadership. • Provide executive-level reporting on project health, risks, and milestones. • Facilitate steering committee meetings and drive decision-making. Change Management & Training • Lead organizational change management efforts for IAM adoption. • Develop communication plans and coordinate training for system administrators and business users. • Promote IAM governance best practices across the enterprise. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Healthcare Informatics, or related field. • 5+ years of project management experience, including 2+ years leading IAM or SailPoint implementations. • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. • Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, RBAC, access certifications, and SoD controls. • Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated environment. • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare security frameworks. • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with large hospital systems, payer organizations, or integrated delivery networks (IDNs). • Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and HITRUST. • Prior experience managing cloud identity integrations (Azure AD, Okta). • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills. #LI-PO1
