5+ years managing IT infrastructure or cloud projects with strong Azure and data platform knowledge.
Position Title: IT Infrastructure Project Manager Location: Novi, MI Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and deliver a range of cloud, data, and network-focused initiatives. This role is ideal for a technically fluent project manager who can partner closely with engineering teams, understand cloud infrastructure concepts, and effectively drive cross functional execution—without serving as a Scrum Master for software development teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead end to end planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on cloud-based environments. • Oversee initiatives related to: • Azure DevOps and cloud infrastructure deployments • Microsoft Data Fabric (MS Fabric) and related data platform components (Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Power BI experience is highly beneficial) • Guest Wi Fi deployment across schools, including coordination with network engineers and on site teams • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and communications while ensuring alignment with organizational standards. • Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership. • Ensure project documentation, governance, and reporting are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. • Coordinate vendor activity, internal resources, and cross functional counterparts. • Support resource planning and capacity management across infrastructure teams. • Facilitate technical discussions and maintain enough technical awareness to guide decision making (no SME expertise required). Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading IT infrastructure or cloud focused projects. • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure and Azure DevOps concepts. • Experience managing projects involving data platforms or data engineering components. • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable plans for diverse stakeholders. • Proven track record delivering multiple simultaneous projects on time and within scope. • Excellent communication, risk management, and organizational skills. Preferred/“Nice to Have” • Familiarity with: • Microsoft Fabric / Data Fabric • Azure Synapse Analytics • Azure Data Factory • Power BI • Experience working in K–12 or educational environments. • Background coordinating large scale Wi Fi, networking, or infrastructure rollouts. Who Thrives in This Role • Someone who enjoys infrastructure and cloud delivery—not software development lifecycle Scrum. • A PM who is comfortable in technical conversations but doesn’t need to be an engineer. • A highly organized, proactive problem solver with strong communication instincts. #LI-AW1 #LI-KS1
