Operations & Maintenance IT Manager Do you enjoy leading IT operations while ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and high performing? Are you experienced managing releases, fixes, and enhancements while partnering across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams? About the Role: The O&M IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and lifecycle maintenance of enterprise systems while overseeing ongoing development work that supports operational needs. This role manages releases, bug fixes, enhancements, and platform improvements while partnering with architecture, engineering, and product teams to deliver high-quality, low-risk deployments. You’ll play a key role in keeping critical systems stable, secure, and continuously improving. Key Responsibilities: • Managing day-to-day operations for infrastructure, applications, cloud services, and core systems • Ensuring SLAs and OLAs are met while maintaining system performance and security • Leading incident response, major incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution • Strengthening monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and operational runbooks • Overseeing patching, upgrades, configuration updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing • Managing hardware and software lifecycle planning, refresh cycles, and EOL tracking • Establishing and communicating maintenance schedules and change windows • Owning the end-to-end bugfix lifecycle from intake through deployment • Coordinating with engineering and QA teams to validate fixes and releases • Managing minor enhancements, automation improvements, and configuration changes • Supporting major releases, upgrades, and system rollouts with readiness planning • Leading release management processes including approvals, timelines, environments, and deployment execution • Defining release standards, rollback procedures, and version controls • Tracking release and operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives • Enforcing ITIL-aligned processes across incident, change, and release management • Partnering with security teams on vulnerabilities, access controls, and audit readiness • Leading technical staff and managing vendors, contracts, and escalations • Managing O&M budgets and optimizing costs across infrastructure and cloud environments • Driving automation initiatives to improve stability and reduce operational effort Requirements: • Demonstrate 10+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or application operations • Lead technical teams with at least 3+ years of people management experience • Manage release processes, bugfix pipelines, and application lifecycle activities • Work across hybrid environments including cloud and on-prem platforms • Apply knowledge of ITIL processes and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management • Coordinate cross-functional teams across development, QA, operations, and security • Analyze operational metrics and implement improvements based on data • Communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: • Hold certifications such as ITIL, Azure, AWS, or DevOps • Use CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps • Apply automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, or Ansible Flexible Working At Conduent, we value individuality and flexible working arrangements.
