Infrastructure Systems Engineer Overview The Technical Solutions Delivery team is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure solutions for our customers. Working closely with CIO teams, the Infrastructure Systems Engineer will design and implement solutions that are technically robust, highly resilient, operationally supportable, and aligned with business requirements. This role requires a blend of infrastructure architecture expertise, hands‑on system build and configuration, application installation, and strong technical leadership to ensure solutions are delivered on scope and on schedule. Success will require a high degree of collaboration with developers, third‑party vendors, database engineers, and other infrastructure teams to achieve the right balance of agility and process discipline. The ideal candidate will bring a consultative mindset, strong leadership capabilities, forward‑thinking vision, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical teams across a diverse, talented organization. Essential Job Responsibilities 1. Lead cross‑functional teams in the design and implementation of highly available, multi‑tier Windows or cloud‑based applications. 2. Collaborate with business and technical partners to develop Infrastructure/System Engineering designs for internally hosted solutions. 3. Build and implement solutions using automation to deploy systems, applications, containers, and related technologies. 4. Serve as the primary infrastructure point‑of‑contact for business and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle. 5. Provide technical leadership and direction for assigned projects. 6. Create detailed technical design documentation for both project and operational teams. 7. Develop scripts and automation to streamline and standardize repeatable processes. 8. Perform additional duties as required. Required Qualifications * Experience applying a consultative approach to gather, validate, document, and manage customer requirements. * Hands‑on enterprise‑level infrastructure and systems engineering experience with Windows/SQL and cloud‑based platforms. * Proficiency with automation and scripting; PowerShell strongly preferred. * Experience with automated system build and configuration management tools (e.g., VRO, Terraform, SCCM, SCO). * Working knowledge of networking protocols, concepts, and components. * Experience designing and implementing high‑availability, active/active, and disaster recovery solutions. * Background working in matrixed environments with infrastructure engineers, development teams, and client relationship groups. * Ability to produce high‑quality operational documentation, including Visio diagrams, environment overviews, and step‑by‑step build and configuration procedures. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and related automation frameworks. * Strong customer service orientation with professionalism and the ability to handle complex technical challenges. * Proven ability to collaborate effectively in remote or distributed team environments. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in fast‑paced, high‑pressure settings. * Exceptional attention to detail. Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience. Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $110K - 123K annually.
