Senior EDIFECS Developer About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior EDIFECS Developer to serve as a lead COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) team member supporting a Medicaid state program within a healthcare EDI environment. This role requires deep expertise in EDIFECS and related downstream technologies, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to technical configuration, system enhancements, platform ownership, and production support while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead EDIFECS configuration and development activities within a Medicaid healthcare EDI platform. Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications. Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and system definitions. Apply recurring ECL releases (quarterly and annual) across multi-environment platforms. Serve as a technical subject matter expert on development initiatives, including version upgrades. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design aligned with CMMI Level 3 practices. Develop technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements. Maintain, support, and document system functionality and configurations. Analyze system configurations and end-to-end transaction mappings to identify and resolve issues. Maintain configuration management and version control within Azure DevOps. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Technical Qualifications Advanced experience with EDIFECS in a healthcare clearinghouse or EDI platform environment. Strong understanding of ANSI X12N 5010 transaction sets, including configuration and mapping. Experience with Linux, databases, ETL platforms, and reporting tools. Experience applying ECL releases and managing multi-environmental deployments. Knowledge of software architecture principles and implementation methodologies. Experience with Azure DevOps for version control and configuration management. Ability to identify gaps in system requirements and recommend effective solutions. Professional Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). 7+ years of total work experience. Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing platform ownership responsibilities. Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders. Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions. Role Impact Own and maintain the ETL platform for a designated Medicaid state. Serve as a backup resource for other states with similar technology stacks. Contribute to service quality, system reliability, and operational excellence. Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
