We are building quantum computers on silicon chips. Our secret sauce: We use machine learning to help us characterize and operate quantum chips 1000x faster than current methods. We are working on the frontier of semiconductor transistor technology and are on a journey that will fundamentally change computing forever. This will not be your average internship. The Opportunity Ship machine learning software that controls and counts individual qubits and electrons (or holes) as they quantum tunnel through the most advanced semiconductors made by humans to date. Leverage your intelligence by building agents that allow you to explore solutions to problems more efficiently and accelerate workflows. Program bespoke quantum chip control electronics: radio frequency system on a chip, field programmable gate arrays, and arbitrary waveform generators. Travel to world-leading labs, challenge experts in the field, document your work, and produce content to communicate what you have engineered and experienced with the rest of the world. Learn how to do exceptional work, grind in an early-stage deep tech start-up, and build a company. Access to the founders, the Y Combinator community, and the best quantum engineers in the game. Earn equity if you join full-time after the internship. What We Are Looking For High integrity, high intensity, high intelligence. People who can’t stop thinking about the problems they are solving. People who are long-term thinkers and would be open to joining full-time after the internship. People who believe in the power of software and want to be part of its journey devouring the world. People who take everything seriously, whether flipping burgers at McDonald’s or building a quantum computer - they apply the best of their abilities to a task and treat it with utmost valor and respect. What We Aren’t Looking For People who want a separation between work and life. Necessary Skills Hunger. Skills That Can Help Personal project building and can show us the code. Python, PyTorch, machine learning, computer vision, agent building. Cryogenics and operating dilution refrigerators. Full-stack quantum engineering and/or quantum simulation. Soldering electronics, printed circuit board design. Experience programming digital-to-analog converters, radio frequency system on a chip, field programmable gate arrays, and arbitrary waveform generators. To give you an idea of what you will be building for, here is a photo taken through a microscope lens of a quantum chip wire-bonded to a printed circuit board. Here’s to building the future.
