Outside Technical Sales Representative – Commercial Roofing Products Territory: Indiana (Primary focus: Indianapolis & Fort Wayne) Location: Remote / Home-based in or near Indianapolis, IN Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 salary & bonus based on experience & performance About the Role ComStruct Sales LLC is expanding its presence in Indiana and is seeking a motivated Outside Technical Sales Representative to help grow market share, develop long-term relationships, and serve as a trusted technical resource within this commercial roofing market. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with prior commercial roofing experience to join our four-person team and work directly with our Outside Sales Representative in Indiana to drive sales growth. This is a full-time position working remotely in or near Indianapolis, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to join a small, collaborative team and play a meaningful role in growing a territory. About ComStruct Sales ComStruct Sales LLC is a growing manufacturers’ representative firm serving the commercial roofing market in Indiana and Northern Illinois. We represent leading manufacturers and work closely with contractors, architects, consultants, distributors, and building owners to support high-quality roofing solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Education · Provide installation training for existing established contractors, as well as those newer to commercial roofing systems. · Conduct product demonstrations with emphasis on new and innovative products. · Schedule and present “lunch & learn” educational sessions for architects and consulting firms to influence specifications. · Serve as a trusted technical and product resource for contractors, building owners, distributors, and the design community. Roof Assessments & Project Development · Work directly with building owners, developers, property managers, and other decision-makers involved in roofing projects. · Conduct roof evaluations to identify project opportunities, generate leads, and build relationships. · Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and assist with specifications and the bidding process. Sales & Territory Support · Collaborate closely with the current Indiana Outside Sales Representative to drive territory growth and achieve sales goals. · Review project specifications and attend architect pre-bid meetings to identify requirements and support pricing efforts. · Build and maintain strong relationships across all customer segments. · Actively participate in relevant industry associations and events. · Support overall business operations through regular activity, including weekly internal sales calls, monthly reporting, CRM updates, and customer engagement events. RequirementsRequired · Residence in or near Indianapolis, Indiana · Prior experience in commercial, low-slope roofing · Ability and willingness to climb ladders, access rooftops, and visit construction sites while maintaining safety as a top priority at all times. · Valid driver’s license and willingness to use a personal vehicle for daily in-territory travel with reimbursement for mileage based on current federal guidelines. · Occasional overnight travel (approximately 2–3 times per year) for training sessions, meetings, or trade shows · Ability to be productive working independently from a home office and proactively identifying opportunities to help grow specification rates, support contractor quality, and drive building owner opportunities.
